Home / School Communication Policy

It is the policy of Croom National School:
  1. To foster close links and good working relationship with parents.
  2. To inform parents of the school’s ethos, policies and curriculum.
  3. To keep parents informed about their child’s progress and problems or difficulties.
  4. To make parents aware that the education of the child is a partnership.

Means used by School to implement policy:
  1. Informal contact with parents
  2. Telephone
  3. Letters to parents in general.
  4. Homework Notebook.
  5. Induction Day (for infants and parents in previous June)
  6. Parent/Teacher meetings each October and June.
  7. Incidental visits by parents.
  8. Open Day.
  9. School Reports.
  10. Preparation for Sacraments/Meetings.
  11. Parents’ Council Involvement.
  12. Talks/Lectures/Courses organized for parents.
  13. Parents’ Club.

The school feels it is desirable and often necessary to involve parents/guardians in school activities.  Such involvement however, must be covered under the school insurance policy.
