St. Mary’s is a co-ed Catholic primary school where the staff are committed to the overall development of each individual pupil.
The school provides religious education for its catholic pupils and promotes the formation of these pupils in the Catholic Faith but is respectful of the rights and needs of pupils of other faiths or none within the school. We aim to achieve our goals in a manner, which is fair and inclusive, recognising the rights and duties of pupils, parents, teachers and management.
St. Mary’s National School received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to purchase iPads and docking stations which were used by students to participate in various coding and robotics workshops run by DELL and Analog and also participate in programmes like First LEGO league.
