On Friday 31st January we celebrated Grandparents Day as part of Catholic Schools Week. The children were brought to mass in St. Mary’s Church where our choir, led by Mrs. Kennedy, created a wonderful atmosphere with beautiful hymns.
After mass the grandparents attended the school for tea/coffee and a selection of delicious sandwiches and buns which were provided by our Parents Group. Each class then came to the hall to see their grandparents and provided entertainment which included; singing, tin whistle, guitars and jokes! The school was happy to mark the importance of grandparents in the lives of its students and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day!
