Newsletter – Christmas 2018

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Christmas is a great time of the year here in St. Mary’s National School. The Nativity rehearsals, Santa visits and choir practice are just some of the activities that help to create such a wonderful Christmas spirit in the classrooms and on the corridors. This year was our first involvement in the community concert, aptly named, “Christmas Spirit in Croom.” This proved to be a huge success and our Junior Infants and choir really shone on the night. The students performed to such a high level that every teacher, parent and guardian involved should feel very proud.

We continue to be a very active and busy school, especially at this time of year, with each teacher putting huge effort into making the Christmas period as special as possible for each child. Our assemblies continue to acknowledge and award children for their efforts across the curriculum with individual and class awards. Events such as the School Book Fair illustrated again the cooperation between the school and the wider community and this ultimately benefits the children in the opportunities that we as a school can offer.

The staff and management of the school would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Mr. E Murphy (Principal)
