With the last few days of the final term for the 2022-2023 school year upon us, it is a time to reflect on the great work that has been completed by children and staff in St. Mary’s National School. From those amazing Christmas Concerts to a memorable Communion Day, so many worthwhile programmes and activities have been running day in day out in our school by our committed and superb staff including visits to Sing Ireland at UCH Limerick, Junior Achievement, Trips to Limerick’s Greenway, planting our school garden, Teddy Bear’s Picnics, horse-riding in Liskennet, Olympic Handball Tournaments, Active Schools Week, upcycling old furniture and Archaeology outreach events among so many others! It has really been a year where pupils have excelled and invested a massive effort into their projects.
It is also with sadness that the school bids farewell to our Sixth Class, who have proved to be great role models for the younger students. Their good nature, active lifestyles and sense of humour will be sorely missed by pupils and staff alike.
Have a great summer and see you all on Wednesday August 30th.
Mr. Emmett Murphy- Principal
